As humans, we desire to spice up our lives with meaningful activities that involve lots of excitement and pleasure. We long to be a part of something that brings us so much satisfaction.
When we write a bucket list, we seek to remind ourselves of things that are enjoyable or valuable to us. They are valuable to us because they can either help us ease stress, give us a different perspective on life or help us set clear goals. The desire to visit a country that allows us to witness several delightful experiences should be part of our bucket list.
There is so much to see and experience in Africa. There are places you’d see and neer believe they are in Africa. They await!
I personally think that bucket lists should be fun, witty and adventurous. A visit to these cities in West Africa should be fun. So go ahead and add them to your bucket list.
Praia, Cape Verde
Praia is a Portuguese word which means ‘beach.’
Praia is the capital and largest city of Cape Verde., with a lot of beautiful beaches.
Hmmmm! Who used to dance in the rain as a child!?! I certainly used to have fun doing just that.! With so many beaches, Praia reminds me about my childhood days when I used to mimic swimming in a beach, while dancing in the rain. Yaaay!
Sights of astounding beaches, some with white and black sands which spread across the country’s islands, await you in Praia. There are beaches with great opportunities for water sports on the beautiful Sal Island, diverse marine life containing over 639 species of fish, according to scientists and a sumptuous seafood cuisine is definitely a visual delight.
Bring back those exciting memories of your youth, take a walk through a quiet beach, relax on a cozy island and enjoy adventurous water activities if you choose to visit this city.
Banjul, The Gambia
Banjul – the capital of The Gambia – is another beautiful city in West Africa. This city is loaded with nature reserves and parks. Surprisingly, it also has a reptile farm. Banjul has been on my bucket list since I watched on National Geographic channel, with my mother, some years back, an interesting scene on their wild life.
I believe that Banjul is just the place to be if you want to swim in nature. So, go ahead and add this amazing city to your bucket list.
